The capital city of the state is Honolulu and the official languages spoken through out Hawaii are the English and Hawaiian language. The oldest inhabitations of Hawaii date back to 4AD and these were Polynesian immigrants from the area of Marques. The people of the state are American and are a mixed breed of immigrants from almost all over the globe who have made Hawaii there home many generations ago. The languages that are spoken unofficially in the state are Pidgin, Samoan, Tongan alongside the official languages of English and Hawaiian. The tome zone is the Hawaii time zone and the sate does not observe day light time saving. The current government of the state is Republican with
Governor Linda Lingle as head of the state of Hawaii. The state was admitted to the union in the year 1959 and was the 50 th state to have been accepted in union after a long history of monarchy as well as other primitive forms of rule. The name of the state was called Owhyhee in native Polynesian and is now called as Hawaii in English. It has been nicknamed as the Aloha state and is famous for the Hula dance and food which are unique to the state of Hawaii.
